What Are Cavities?
Cavities, also called tooth decay, happen when tiny teeth of your child get damaged by sugary foods and poor cleaning. It starts as white spots and can turn into holes if ignored.

The good news? Cavities in your child’s teeth can be STOPPED !

How to Prevent Them ?

  • Start early cleaning:. Wipe gums with a clean cloth after every feeding even when there’s no teeth.

  • No bottles at bedtime. Always drink water after milk/ any drinks.

  • After tiny teeth come into the mouth, Use a soft brush and a tiny bit of toothpaste.

  • Try to Limit sugary treats during meals.

  • How much toothpaste is the right amount?

    • The size of a rice grain when your tots are below 3.

    • Use a pea- sized amount if your kid is between 3 to 6.

    • If above 6, use a pea- sized amount of adult fluoride toothpaste.

  • Visit the dentist early. Book your baby’s first checkup if you notice anything unusual.

  1. Clean your baby’s gums daily.

  2. Brush as soon as the first tooth appears.

  3. Make a habit of brushing twice a day.

  4. Always drink water after a meal.
